Week #37 – State Archives Week 37: State Archives. Which state archives repository is your favorite? Have you been there in person? What does their website offer to visitors? Share any advice you can to potential visitors who may visit the archives in the future.Alas, I have not made it in person to any state archive. On my list is the Virginia and Maryland ones as they are only a day trip for both. However, I have to tell you to go check out the Missouri State Archive online. It is awesome!
At it they have the Missouri Digital Heritage site. If you have Missouri ancestors this is worth the visit. I have found several birth and death certificates online as well as images and documents pertaining to various historical events. There is a lot there, take some time to get familiar with the site and look through it.
